What are the Domain Name Servers for my domain? How long will it take for the DNS to settle? I forgot my log in details and cannot log into my account. What do I do? I've bought a new domain. Can I use the new domain instead of a sub domain? I have applied for hosting but have not yet received a reply. What do I do? Make sure you sent your application to the correct email address. If you have not received a reply within 2 weeks, you may not have been accepted. I don't have a domain name, can I still be hosted? Yes, instead you can use a sub domain consisting of yoursitename.let-go.net. How much web space will I get with my account? Each account comes with 10MB of web space. Can I install scripts on my account? Yes, you can install scripts that do not require a database such as Cutenews for content management and blogging. What is the path to perl for installing scripts? The path to perl is /usr/bin/perl. Can I upload media such as pictures and video? Yes, as long as they don't exceed the size of your available web space. Do my files get backed up in case of server failure? No, we do not back up your files as we have 99.9% uptime. However, you should back-up your own files to be safe. Where do I get my log in details? Your log in details will be emailed to you upon acceptance. Can I change the size of the ad code? No, you must choose from the 2 sizes given. The ad code will be emailed to you upon acceptance. If you have lost the ad code, email us and we will issue you a new code. Can I pay for hosting to get more space without ads? No, we offer 100% free web space and do not ask for any payments. However, if your site is receiving a significant amount of unique hits we may look into increasing your web space. Can you help me install scripts? Yes, if you need help installing a script, contact us and we will assist you with the installation. Can I install scripts that require a database such as Coppermine or PHPBB? As a rule no. However, if your site is receiving a significant amount of hits we may look into allowing you to install a script that requires a database. What are the Domain Name Servers for my domain? We use different Domain Name Servers for each account. The DNS for your account will be emailed to you upon acceptance. How long will it take for the DNS to settle? It depends on your ISP. Generally it takes between 24 - 48 hours but some ISP's will acknowledge the DNS change much faster. I forgot my log in details and cannot log into my account. What do I do? Contact us and we will reset your password or issue you new log in details. I've bought a new domain. Can I use the new domain instead of a sub domain? Yes, contact us and we will add the new domain to your account which you will then be able to access your site from. |
